Smile for Good Breast Health

We know that smiling when reflective of being positive and happy is good for our overall health.

What is the relationship of smiling to good breast health?

The Window to Your Body’s Health

Your mouth is the window to your body’s health.  Good oral health correlates to good overall health and poor oral health and gum disease are linked to many health conditions, including breast disease.  Bacteria cause inflammation and inflammation that begins in the mouth and teeth can negatively affect other areas of our body, including the breasts.

Amalgam Fillings and Breast Health

Many people still have amalgam fillings in their mouth.  These fillings are 50% mercury and are not good for breast health.  When we brush the teeth with the amalgam fillings or chew warm food with them, vapors are released that have an estrogen disrupting effect.  Anything that is estrogen disrupting may lead to hormonal imbalance that can negatively impact our breast health.  Heavy metals of any kind that accumulate in our body tissues create toxicity.

Acupuncture Meridian System

Every tooth in our mouth is connected to an organ via the acupuncture meridian system.  If there is a bunch of metal in a particular tooth, the effect is like sticking a metal object in an electronic outlet causing stress and fatigue on that associated organ.  If you access this chart, you will see that tooth number 29 corresponds to the breasts.

Root Canals and Breast Health

Speaking of the acupuncture meridian system, a study done by Dr. Thomas Rau in Switzerland found that women confirmed with breast disease had one or more root canals on the same meridian as the tumor.  Another study done by the Independent Cancer Research Foundation found that 100% of the women with breast disease in the study had root canals, or other infections, on the same acupuncture meridian.

Whatever you decide to do to improve your oral health, you will be helping to improve your overall health and your Breast Health!  Keep Smiling!
